UCSF Palliative Care Psychiatry Mentorship Program
The Palliative Care Psychiatry Mentorship Program aims to create opportunities for mentorship for psychiatry trainees interested in pursuing a career at the interface of psychiatry and palliative medicine. We will offer virtual quarterly events consisting of one annual career panel and three annual group mentorship sessions. While annual career panels are recorded to make available to the at asynchronous times, mentorship sessions will not be in order to protect confidentiality. The program was created in recognition of the fact that although palliative medicine is a recognized psychiatric subspecialty, the majority of psychiatry trainees get minimal exposure to this career path or to mentors who have gone from psychiatry residency to palliative care fellowship.
